You will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate communications across a range of audiences. Knowledge of, or an interest in, language or linguistics would be an advantage.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and overseeing administration of events and other research-related activities, preparing project plans and monitoring progress against project milestones.
  • Organising events, such as conferences, workshops, or training sessions, making necessary logistical arrangements and liaising with attendees.
  • Providing administrative support to the Communications Manager and Centre Manager such as organising meetings and providing secretariat support to relevant committees.
  • Monitoring expenditure against budgets and managing purchasing procedures.
  • Supporting communications activities, including updating the centre's website and helping publicise events.
