Department of Mathematical Sciences (DMS)
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Mathematical Sciences (DMS). The Department is a growing and vibrant department in the Faculty of Science and Health. DMS is internationally known for its research in a range of areas and offers an excellent education to its students.
Duties will include designing, planning and delivering learning across a range of modules or within subject area, assess and feed back to learners, supervise student projects, fieldwork and placements, engaging successfully and effectively in substantive teaching and generating research income appropriate in scale to career stage.
At Senior Lecturer level you will make significant research-led and pedagogically informed contributions to module/curriculum design and development.
To be successful you will have evidence of a clear publication plan for submission to future Research Excellence Framework (REF) programmes and evidence of a research agenda, engagement in high-quality research activity and a developing research profile, along with a relevant doctoral level research degree or related discipline or equivalent professional experience or practice or be close to completion of PhD. You will also have experience of designing and planning learning activities, developing effective learning environments and approaches to student support and guidance and research interests.
