Here’s more about the role and what we are looking for:

We currently our recruiting for two passionate and motivated Research Associates with prior experience of undertaking detailed research projects to join us at Loughborough.

Loughborough University’s Centre for Renewable Energy Systems Technology (CREST) in collaboration with partners is undertaking research funded through the BEIS funded project, Advanced Distributed Storage for grid Benefit (ADSorB) and the EPSRC funded Low Temperature Heat Recovery and Distribution Network Technologies (LoT-NET).

The main research being undertaken at CREST, relates to the design, development, characterization, modelling and performance optimization of advanced modular phase change, and thermochemical thermal energy storage systems for both medium and long duration heat storage.

Key Requirements:

  • Have a PhD in engineering or physical science (or equivalent).
  • Prior experience of undertaking a long term detailed experimental and theoretical research projects successfully.
  • Ability to write project reports and make technical presentations to industrial and academic research groups.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, interacting with different academic and industrial partners
