LSE Eden Centre for Education Enhancement

Learning Technologist (two vacancies)

Salary from £39,313 to £47,148 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £50,614 pa inclusive of London allowance

The LSE Eden Centre brings together educational, technological and developmental expertise to support the development of academic staff and enable curriculum enrichment and digital innovation across the School. Eden Centre staff work with academic and professional services colleagues across the School and in partnership with students to enhance research-rich education in line with the priorities of the School’s LSE 2030 Strategy and its ‘Educate for Global Impact’ strand.

We are looking to recruit two Learning Technologists to join the Eden Centre’s Digital Education team.  It is an exciting time to join the team as we embark upon the multi-million pound ‘Digital Education Futures’ programme - a suite of initiatives to embed effective digital practice across the LSE and transform the staff and student digital experience.

Each Learning Technologist will serve as the team’s Technical Lead for at least two digital learning platforms.  They will provide expert advice and guidance to academic and professional staff in the use of digital learning technologies, and will work collaboratively on projects to help deliver the priorities of Digital Education Futures.

For this role we offer hybrid working with the expectation being 40% on-campus working and 60% homeworking

The successful candidates will have:

  • Experience in supporting and enhancing teaching, learning and assessment with technology, including technical and/or pedagogical support, in face-to-face or distance learning settings.
  • Experience in working with a variety of learning technologies, including VLEs (Moodle desirable) at both user and administrator level.
  • An undergraduate qualification in a learning technology related area or significant experience in a learning technology, or related, role.
  • The ability to produce written and online documentation that can convey technical information to non-specialists accurately and accessibly.

We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.
