Applications are sought from enthusiastic, suitably experienced and qualified EAP tutors to teach on the 9-week and 5-week pre-sessional EAP programmes in the Centre for English Language and Communication at Aston (CELCA). CELCA specialises in developing and delivering English for Academic Purposes courses for international students as well as providing expertise in the fields of English language and Communication to Aston University students, staff and external stakeholders. Our pre-sessional is credit-bearing and BALEAP-accredited.
You will join a team of experienced, committed and supportive EAP practitioners. A paid induction, the syllabus, materials and ongoing support will be provided.
The dates of the engagements are:
• 9-week programme: 19th June – 25th August 2023 (including Staff Orientation)
• 5-week programme: 17th July – 25th August 2023 (including Staff Orientation)
Positions are available on on-campus and online programmes. If you are only interested in an online position, you should indicate it in your application.
This is an intensive, full-time role with regular marking, tutorials and staff meetings. All applicants must be available for the full duration of the contract, must be UK based and eligible to work in the UK. Teaching online will require access to a reliable broadband connection. Equipment such as a laptop and a headset could be provided, depending on circumstances.
