This is an opportunity to join The Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering at the University of Sheffield as a University Teacher in Control and Systems Engineering. You will play a key role in maintaining the Department’s reputation for high-quality teaching by devising, designing, preparing, and delivering our undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
You will support the adoption of innovative and sustainable digital technology solutions and help to further engage our student learners. This will be via the continued development of innovative take home lab kits and via enhancing our provision of high quality digital teaching solutions (interactive videos, activities, peer learning environments) to complement teaching. This post will also develop new digital activities to capitalise further on our investments in facilities and equipment.
Applications are invited for outstanding candidates, with a good honours degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Science or a related subject and hold a postgraduate qualification (or equivalent experience) in systems and control or a relevant area. Teaching and/or practical experience in any of the following topics is desirable: systems engineering, software testing, sensing and actuation, programming languages and platforms, as well as sustainability in engineering. You will have experience and enthusiasm of delivering university teaching to a high standard, excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
