Two postdoctoral position are available to investigate how unconventional human T cells are involved in the immune response to infectious disease and in tissue immune surveillance. The successful candidate will be based in laboratory of Dr Martin Davey and the new Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research Building within the Division of Biomedical Sciences, Warwick Medical School.

You will be joining an expert team at Warwick and will employ molecular and cell immunology approaches to decipher the impact of unconventional T cells in immunotherapeutic and human tissue settings. The successful applicant will utilise high dimensional full spectrum flow cytometry, single cell transcriptomics and immune repertoire sequencing to explore the evolution of this enigmatic T cell population in human tissues.

Applicants must have, or will shortly obtain, a PhD human cellular immunology. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, enthusiastic with an outstanding academic track record, good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team. Applicants with significant experience in multi-parameter flow cytometry, single cell transcriptomics, cell culture and deep understanding of human gamma delta T cell immunology are encouraged to apply.

If you are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD but have not yet had it conferred, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant at the top of level 5 of the University grade structure (£32,411). Upon receipt of evidence of the successful award of your PhD, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure (£33,348).
