The innovative Postgraduate Taught programmes at WOPEC in the School of Optometry and Vision Sciences, Cardiff University incorporate both distance learning and contact teaching and assessment. We are seeking to appoint several part time module leaders to join our motivated postgraduate teaching team.
Module Leaders work to develop, deliver and evaluate modules/ programmes within the postgraduate qualification provision in the School. As well as teaching and assessing students, they are responsible for the day to day running of a module and all the teaching and assessment including co-ordinating other members of staff that contribute.
We are seeking module leaders for:
• Low Vision - 1 day a week. This will include weekly supervision for half a day a week in a low vision clinic as well as teaching online and attending practical training and assessment days. For someone with a Prof Cert Low Vision and experience of delivering a low vision service. Job share will be considered i.e. two people doing half a day a week each.
This position is part time 7 hours per week and fixed term for 3 years.
Salary: Grade 7 plus market supplement. £66,961 - £74,564 per annum, pro rata for hours worked.
