Salary Details:
For candidates registered on the GMC register, The starting salary will be from £29,384 to £58,398 on the Clinical Lecturer (doctors in training, ‘new’ 2016 pay system).
For those registered on the NMC register, the starting salary will be from £40,745 to £49,841 on grade F, depending on qualifications and experience.’

Summary of the role
This role is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Neurodegenerative Imaging research group, led by Professor Marios Politis, Professor of Neurology and Director of the recently opened Mireille Gillings Neuroimaging Centre at the University of Exeter Medical School. Professor Politis’ research involves using cutting edge PET and MRI scanners to understand how the brain works, and to gain insight into how best to prevent and treat diseases including dementia and Parkinson’s disease.
A Clinical Research Fellow is required for the newly funded Molecular Imaging of LPS-Microglial Activation in Parkinson’s Disease (PD): A TSPO PET-MR Imaging Study (LPS-TSPO). This study will investigate neuroinflammation in Parkinson’s disease patients across the disease spectrum.
The work of the Clinical Research Fellow will involve performing detailed clinical and neuropsychological assessments, PET and MR imaging scans in patients with Parkinson’s disease; as well as conducting analysis of neuroimaging, statistics, presentations, writing publications and funder reports.
This post is based at the Neurodegeneration Imaging Group’s London office, but travel to the Mireille Gillings Neuroimaging Centre at the University of Exeter will be required, as circumstances allow.
