CEG Digital wishes to engage the services of an Online Tutor for their MSc Supply Chain Management course run in partnership with University of Central Lancashire.

Online Tutors play a central role in the day-to-day success and vibrancy of the university’s online courses and are a consistent presence in the modules to which they are assigned and are usually the first point of contact for academic queries from students. Each Online Tutor will have a group of up to 30 students.

This is a flexible, part-time role and it is estimated that during a typical week, each student group may need approximately ten hours of online tutoring, although flexibility is required in order to accommodate busy periods such as assessment. Note that there will be key dates and contact points you will be required to adhere to which are driven by assessment dates in the course calendar. Full details will be provided prior to the start of the module.

The Course

This exciting new course aims set up students for success with accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). This course will introduce students to research-backed strategies, specialist practical skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset to develop effective and resilient supply chains.

This course integrates aspects of finance, global business and human resource management throughout. Students will view the supply chain as it is in the real world: one of many interrelated components within a huge, complex, and dynamic network. Using UCLan’s position as a Preston Model anchor institution, they’ll examine the socio-economic impact supply chains can have on their local community.

The Module

This module aims to develop a critical approach to understanding the nature of international business, the financial institutions and markets in which it operates, and the regulations controlling the financial sector. The aim is to provide students with the skills required to critically evaluate the disruptive nature of technological change in the international business environment, and to consider ethical and sustainable responses to such challenges.
