Job description
This is an exciting opportunity within the School of Life Course & Population Health Science (SLCPS). We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated administrator to provide high quality research administrative assistance to the School and support its Research Manager, the School Research & Partnership Manager and School Manager.
The post holder will work closely with the School Research Manager, who will be the direct line manager, and the wider Professional Services Team to support Pre-Award processes such as grant applications, award acceptance and award set up.
They will also support Post Award processes such as providing guidance to our Academics on eligible and ineligible costs on a grant, monitoring budgets, flagging up risks with the School Research Manager and help find solutions to funding issues.
The post holder will forge good working relationships with the faculty colleagues, including those within the Research Management & Innovation Directorate, and champion the use of KCL systems (in particular our Research Grants Management system Worktribe and the Finance System KFin).
As a core member of the School’s professional services Team, they will work closely with colleagues to provide high quality general administrative support to the School across all locations, as required.

This is a full time post - 100% full time equivalent (FTE). There is nonetheless flexibility to offer the post at 80% FTE and candidates wishing to apply for the post part-time are warmly invited to state it in the application.
