As a result of promotions and secondments, we have several vacancies for Research Delivery Support Partners to join our mission here at Coventry University.
Research Services operates under the leadership of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and the line-management of the Director of Research Services. Research Services is the primary support department for: research quality; research systems; research projects funding and compliance; research projects development, costing and delivery support, research ethics and governance and research operations.
The Research Delivery Support Partner is part of a central resource available to Research Institutes which plays a vital contribution in realising the research ambitions of Coventry University by supporting leading researchers to deliver high quality research with impact.
The position sits within Research Delivery Support, one of seven closely linked teams comprising Research Services that coordinate research support across the University, the other teams being: research quality; research systems; research finance and compliance; research funding and development, research ethics and governance and research operations.
The post-holder will provide hands-on delivery support to high/medium risk externally funded projects across the project lifecycle and support internally sponsored strategic projects with multiple stakeholders alongside supporting some pre-award activities. This is an exciting opportunity to actively engage in supporting leading researchers in meeting delivery goals and objectives and managing special projects to support the delivery of the University Research Strategy. You will be expected to undertake and facilitate project management interventions with specific responsibility for project planning, monitoring and support for project execution from start to finish.
The post holder is expected to have line management responsibility and will require to be educated to degree level or equivalent or be Prince2 accredited and /or equivalent demonstrable experience. A working knowledge of the higher education sector and extensive knowledge of research project management is essential.
