The School of Chemistry at the University of Lincoln has quickly established a strong position by developing an ambitious research agenda alongside Employer-Engaged STEM taught programmes. Building on success in innovative student programmes and in our recent success in our first REF submission to Chemistry, the School is investing to considerably enhance its position and further its reputation in the application of chemistry in research and innovation. Substantial on-going investment has been realised in research and teaching facilities and assembling specialist support teams. Combined, these have created a dynamic and modern working environment for the School.
For these lectureships, we are targeting individuals with the ability to develop our programmes in cutting-edge science and support our future research ambitions. Research in the School promotes inter-disciplinarity and aligns to three research groups:
These areas are supported by industry/R&D interfaces including the new ERDF-GLLEP £6.3m development ‘The Bridge’, promoting collaborative R&D in engineering materials.
A commitment to working within multidisciplinary teams and an enthusiasm for developing research-integrated teaching will be strong attributes in the successful candidates.
We are seeking applicants with significant research track record and the potential for strong engagement with the School’s research groups. In addition, an ability to contribute to the University’s interdisciplinary research agenda will be a strong attribute for a successful candidate. Early career candidates will be able to demonstrate the ability to teach in specialist areas in chemistry and have an enthusiasm for broadening their experience across the chemical sciences.
For informal enquiries, please contact chemistry@lincoln.ac.uk for the attention of Professor Tasnim Munshi, Deputy Head of School.
We encourage applications from under-represented groups. The School of Chemistry is an Athena SWAN Bronze Award holder and the University of Lincoln is an equal-opportunities employer and an Athena SWAN Bronze Institution.
