ABOUT US
This is an open-ended appointment. The post holder should be able to start ideally by the beginning of the next academic year, in September 2023. Appointment at Lecturer (Grade 8) or Associate Professor (Grade 9) level will be determined by the depth of experience and track record. For Associate Professor, the appointee would be expected to demonstrate sustained excellence in all aspects of academic life.
IIPP brings together an interdisciplinary group of cutting-edge academics and practitioners to influence global policy decisions and create new policy collaborations to deliver public value-driven innovations. Our mission is to change how public value is imagined, practised and evaluated to tackle societal challenges—and, by doing this, to deliver economic growth that is innovation-led, sustainable, and inclusive.
The IIPP research community and global network are dedicated to creating new economic thinking and reframing today’s most pressing societal challenges within a new multidisciplinary political economy agenda. Our research advances a new understanding of the role of the state in pursuing public purpose while shaping the direction of innovation and growth. We produce cutting-edge research on value creation, value distribution, rent formation and capture across several contexts, markets and industries.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will undertake research in an area relevant to the Department in economics and/or political economy, publishing at an international level of excellence.

The appointee will be expected to demonstrate sustained excellence in all aspects of academic life. You will contribute to IIPP’s research, policy projects, and teaching, including teaching on our Master’s in Public Administration, delivering Executive Education short courses, and supervising PhD students.
