We are looking to appoint a Finance Officer, who will work in our finance team across the Departments of Computer Science and Electronic and Electrical Engineering. The ideal candidate will have a Financial Accounting and Systems qualification up to HND level or have equivalent experience. You will also be highly numerate and accurate, with experience of working with SAP and analysing, interpreting, and presenting data. Being able to work on your own initiative and also as part of a team is key to this role, together with the ability to work to tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy. If this sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you.
The Faculty of Engineering’s finance functions are organised into four clusters to provide effective inter-departmental working using electronic finance systems and standardised policies, procedures and roles. Each cluster has a Finance Manager who is responsible for overseeing the operational overview of the finance cluster, supported by a number of finance officers and finance assistants. The post holder will work across the Departments of Computer Science and Electronic and Electrical Engineering to ensure the effective operation of the cluster and to provide financial administration support to staff and students. This role will contribute to the successful financial management of the departments’ portfolios of core, project and research accounts.
This post is offered on a fixed term basis and we encourage applications from those seeking this as a potential secondment opportunity.
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
