Role description
Hull York Medical School is seeking to appoint a Clinical Research Fellow in Medical Education to join the multidisciplinary Health Professions Education Unit (HPEU).
This is an exciting time to join Hull York Medical School. The School was awarded a 70% increase in medical student places with full expansion completing in the 23/24 academic year. This represents an exciting opportunity for a clinical trainee interested in developing their expertise in undergraduate medical education by engaging in education practice whilst undertaking a higher degree related to medical education. The School is particularly keen to hear from trainees intending to pursue a clinical academic career in the Yorkshire and Humber Region.
Role
The post holder will be responsible for the design, co-ordination and delivery of the pharmacology, prescribing and therapeutics components of the MB BS and MSc PA programmes (0.4 FTE). The remaining 0.6 FTE will provide the time for the post-holder to undertake a programme of research working towards the award of an MD in medical education combined with some clinical work contributing to the award of their Certificate of Completion of Training.
The Unit is based in the Hull York Medical School at the University of York but the role will cover all of the School sites.
