Your overall focus will be to develop and validate computational models of chemical recycling/solvolylis of composite wind turbine blades. You will work with nearby colleagues, and with both academic and industrial partners in Denmark as well as abroad. Your primary tasks will be to:
Qualifications
You are expected to have a PhD degree in materials science, applied mechanics, mechanics, mechanical engineering or related disciplines, and have an experience or good knowledge of mechanics of materials, computational micromechanics, finite element simulations (ABAQUS, with subroutines) as well as programming in a higher-level language (Python, including Numpy package). Demonstrated experience in preparing scientific publications in high level international journals is expected.
Knowledge and experience in the computational modelling of structural evolution of solids, phase transition or flow of materials will be advantageous.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union. The starting salary (basic level 6) amounts to 4800 Euros per month before taxes, plus DTU contribution to your pension saving.
The period of employment is 2 years. Starting date is July 1, 2023 (or according to mutual agreement). The position is a full-time position.
