Cambridge Judge Business School (CJBS) leverages the power of academia for real world impact to transform individuals, organisations and society. Since 1990, Cambridge Judge has forged a reputation as a centre of rigorous thinking and high-impact transformative education, situated within one of the world's most prestigious research universities, and in the heart of the Cambridge Cluster, the most successful technology entrepreneurship cluster in Europe.
The Business School is increasingly using digital learning tools and techniques to support the delivery of world class innovative teaching across degree programmes. This is an exciting opportunity at a transformative time within CJBS to join a proactive and dedicated digital learning team.
The successful candidate will be passionate about creating effective and enjoyable learning experiences with an interest, understanding, and knowledge, in the use of digital tools to support the development of creative, engaging, learning; and with the ability to work closely with academic and professional teams in an advisory and constructive capacity. The ideal candidate will have experience of learning design within a higher education setting and have experience of working with a broad range of stakeholders.
The role holder will be a key part of Cambridge Judge's Digital Learning team but will be expected to have a proactive approach to engagement with stakeholders in the creation of pedagogically sound online learning resources and associated support materials. The role holder will be an active team player, have experience of administering content on a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) or online content management system, and experience of pedagogical or educational design at programme level. Additionally, the successful candidate will be educated to degree level/Level 6 vocational qualification in Education or Instructional Design (or a similar relevant subject), or have an equivalent level of practical experience.
This role is based in central Cambridge and offers a hybrid working arrangement, which includes a combination of working from home and working in the office. The post holder would be expected to be in the office at least 50% of the time - this is especially important during the first few months as the role holder will need to build strong relationships with the team and other internal stakeholders.
Applications are also welcome from internal candidates who would like to apply for the role on the basis of a secondment from their current role in the University.
We welcome applications from individuals who wish to be considered for part-time working (no less than 0.8 FTE).
