The University of Leeds is one of the top 135 universities in the world. We have a truly global community, with more than 39,000 students from 170 different countries and over 9,000 staff of 100 different nationalities. Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education, along with world-leading research that has a real impact around the globe.
This is an exciting role in the Lifelong Learning Centre. We are an academic school and a specialist service aimed at widening access for students who are under-represented in higher education. We are looking for an Operations Manager to ensure that the Centre’s operations run smoothly and are agile and proactive. Working closely with the Centre Manager and senior administrators, you will hold responsibility for front desk services, financial procedures and compliance, health & safety compliance, data protection compliance, IT and equipment resourcing, and maintenance of equipment and estates. You will enhance the quality and delivery of our service and play a key part in maintaining the CSE accreditation. You will manage a team of staff and work across teams to support the mission of the Centre.
You will bring significant experience of operational administration in a busy office, line management of staff and process improvement. You will have the ability to collaborate and influence colleagues to deliver an excellent service. You will exercise initiative and develop creative solutions to complex problems.
