The Role
Would you like to play a crucial part in supporting our students to succeed on a placement year? We have an opportunity within the Careers Service Curriculum Team, to support and deliver module activity on the Newcastle University Careers Service Placement Year, ensuring excellence throughout.
You will be involved with all aspects of module delivery, from learning resource development to 1-1 tutorial support to assessment. You will be part of our team based within the Careers Service, where we aim to provide all students with the opportunity to experience a placement year during their degree. This is a 2.5-day week (0.5FTE) fixed term post in the first instance, funded through the Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF).
This post has a primary focus on the Careers Service Placement Year module. As a module tutor for Newcastle University students on placement year within the UK or overseas, you will play a significant part in the delivery of module related activity to ensure students' successful completion of the placement year module.
Within the Careers Service, the Curriculum Team develop and deliver services that enhance the curriculum and student learning experience across the University, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. We know placement experience leads to more positive graduate outcomes, so as a Careers Service and wider University, we actively encourage our students to take this opportunity.
