Applications are invited for a position as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics. The current position will have a specific focus on applied economics in the areas of health, public policy, and development.
The Department of Economics is part of the School of Law and Social Sciences, alongside the Departments of Law and Criminology; Politics, International Relations and Philosophy; and Social Work. The Department is a top 10 research department in the UK (based on the 2014 Research Excellence Framework) with strengths in all major fields of economics. We have a thriving undergraduate programme and offer a range of Masters programmes including economics and finance. The department is also home to an energetic postgraduate research student community.
We seek strong academic candidates who can join our dynamic team to deliver outstanding research and teaching. We expect candidates to have clear potential to publish in the top general and field journals in Economics. Applicants should possess the broad range of skills needed to teach effectively and creatively and should be able to contribute to and develop our teaching portfolio. The current position will support the development and launch of a new Masters programme in global health economics. We also expect academic leadership and an effective contribution to department administration or projects improving the student experience.
The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
