The School of Medical and Health Sciences Diagnostic Radiography programme is currently recruiting to an academic post to join our team. We can offer a stimulating environment and support to enable you to fulfil your professional ambitions.

As part of our current ambition and growth, we seek to recruit to a Lectureship in Health Sciences (Diagnostic Radiography). Candidates should have current professional registration (on the appropriate part of the register) with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject area. Available at Grade 7 or 8, this post provides an opportunity for aspiring or experienced candidates to take the programme forward with the team. We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in, for example, imaging across modalities, physics, technology relating to diagnostic radiography, ultrasound, and who demonstrate an understanding of the importance of HE for Radiography service workforce provision. We are interested in an individual who can support a portfolio of education for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

This post is available on our teaching and scholarship career track and the School offers a welcoming context for less experienced lecturers to develop their potential, including completing a PGCE and the Advance HE Fellowship.  The successful candidate will have opportunities to contribute to teaching and learning for diagnostic radiography.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.

Our mission is to mobilise its expertise and experience to generate new solutions to health challenges. We do this by leading health care research, scholarship, teaching and learning that is of the highest possible standard, quality and value to service users, practitioners and stakeholders. We aim to be an international example of best practice in partnership-working with students, professionals, health and social care services, and policy makers. We pay attention to demonstrating the links between our research and teaching activities, and in providing our students with excellent learning experiences that equip them with the ability to succeed in their professional careers.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible.

This role will be located on campus at Wrexham. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.

The post is offered as a full-time post but applications will also be considered to carry out this role on a part-time or job share basis.

To apply, please click on the ‘Apply’ button above.

Applications will only be accepted via our on-line recruitment website, jobs.bangor.ac.uk. However, in cases of access issues due to disability, paper application forms are available by telephoning 01248 383865.

Closing date for applications: 21st April, 2023.

Informal enquiries about all posts can be made to Dr Elizabeth Mason Head of School or Jonathan Grant, Programme Lead e-mail: e.mason@bangor.ac.uk or j.grant@bangor.ac.uk
