Summary of the role
Within the hugely successful University of Exeter Sports Office, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced sport professional to join our team of Duty Managers.
The position will be based at the Sports Park on a rota basis including weekends and evenings, with an expectation to be available for cover at our two additional sites, St Lukes Sports Centre and Cornwall House Swimming Pool.
Experience of working in a similar environment and dealing with a varied cross-section of customers is essential along with an awareness of health and safety issues. An NPLQ will be essential or a willingness to undertake this qualification ASAP.
A supportive, proactive approach with a desire to succeed is of equal importance.
You will be responsible for managing a team of Operational Assistants, Health and Fitness Consultants and part time staff whilst on shift to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the Sports Park and other sites when working at them.
Please note that all applications must be completed by filling out the University online application form. Applications after the deadline date, CV’s and applications other than through the University process will not be considered.
Please ensure you read the Job Description and Person Specification on our website for full details of this role.
