The vision of Leeds Business School (LBS) is to be an excellent, accessible, innovative and engaged Business School which contributes substantially to the regional economy.
Recent increases in our student recruitment across the Public Relations and Journalism Post Graduate courses, including those of applied practice and professional courses, has given us a significant opportunity to increase and enrich our team of lecturing staff in the Business School. Successful candidates would join a lively, diverse international cadre of academics drawn from a variety of professional backgrounds. LBS has a long history of applied learning and engagement with business and industry, and the Public Relations and Journalism subject group are seeking an academic with practitioner experience in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Communications Strategy, Global Communication Management, Digital Engagement and/or Crisis Management. Additional knowledge and understanding of the ethos and work of the CIPR and PRCA would be ideal and Degree Apprenticeship and International delivery would be an advantage.
As a member of our School, you would be expected to undertake a number of activities including research, teaching across a range of levels and contexts from first year undergraduate to Masters students, supervision of projects and/or dissertations and, potentially, also bespoke in-company delivery
Closing date: 30 June 2023 (23:59) Please note that you will not be able to edit or submit a part-completed application form after the closing date.
Working here means you’ll also have access to a wide range of benefits including our generous pension schemes, excellent holiday entitlements, flexible working, reduced study fees, subsidised fitness facilities and a lot more.
We welcome applications from all individuals and particularly from black and minority ethnic candidates as members of these groups are currently under-represented at this level of post. All appointments will be based on merit.
