The Taiwan Research Hub, in the School of Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham, is pleased to offer a PhD scholarship to applicants wishing to study in the School beginning in the 2023/24 academic year. The scholarship will be offered on a competitive basis, with applications being ranked by a panel in the School. The panel’s judgement will be final.
The proposed research can be either in the field of comparative politics, or of an interdisciplinary nature. However, the research must be related to Taiwan, and the first supervisor must be from the School of Politics and International Relations.

Home/EU and International students are eligible to apply, but please note that the total value of the award is £10,000 per academic year regardless of the residency of the successful applicant. Any award is subject to satisfactory progress through the degree programme.

Following the deadline, shortlisted candidates will be contacted to arrange an interview, either in person or online. The successful applicant will be notified by October 31, 2023.
