Applications are invited for Chapman Fellowships in the Department of Mathematics, commencing September 2024. There are several positions available, which will each be fixed term for 2 years. These posts provide an excellent opportunity for those seeking to pursue an academic career in Mathematics.
Duties and responsibilities
The Chapman Fellows will produce independent and original research within the Department of Mathematics, submit publications to refereed journals, and help with teaching and administration. The post holders will be expected to undertake a self-directed program of research and scholarship, play a role in the national and international Mathematics community, in addition to teaching students at undergraduate level. They will also take a role in MSc teaching where appropriate.

There are several positions available for a fixed duration of 2 years.
*Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as Research Assistant within the salary range £40,694 - £43,888 per annum
Hybrid working may be considered for this role and the role holder may be expected to work 60% or more of their time onsite, with 40% the minimum time spent onsite. The opportunity for hybrid working will be discussed at interview.
