In partnership with FP McCann, Queen’s University Belfast have an exciting employment opportunity for a graduate to work on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership. The KTP Programme has been helping businesses throughout the UK for over 40 years by recruiting suitably qualified graduates to deliver strategic innovation projects in industry.
In collaboration with the School of Natural and Built Environment (NBE) at Queen’s University Belfast the candidate will work to evolve and optimise precast concrete curing practices ensuring a low carbon and economically efficient approach to enhancing the rate of strength gain for novel concrete materials through real-time temperature monitoring of factory conditions and application of chemical admixtures.
FP McCann is the UK’s largest manufacturer and supplier of precast concrete solutions and now boasts 12 precast manufacturing facilities, strategically located throughout the UK. FP McCann has a large portfolio of products categorized into 16 precast divisions including drainage, walling, flooring, and structural products. FP McCann owns several quarries, ready-mix, and asphalt plants and operates within the construction sector completing a portfolio of infrastructure projects. Further areas of growth will include tiling and mortar bagging facilities.
