We are seeking a Molecular Epidemiology Team Lead for UK Biobank to develop and lead the molecular epidemiological team within the organisation. You will have primary responsibility for developing the scientific strategy for the use of biological samples in UK Biobank, as well as liaising with experts to obtain scientific advice, provide senior scientific guidance on quality control and how best to use and interpret assay data. You will also be able to develop and implement a programme of epidemiological research using the molecular data within UK Biobank and other large-scale cohort studies.
To be considered, you must hold a PhD/DPhil or equivalent in biomedical science. You must have significant relevant post-doctoral research experience in molecular epidemiology, an established international reputation and publication record, experience of assessing the quality and utility of large-scale biological assay data for population-based research and be an effective communicator.
This is a full time, fixed term post (part time considered) for 3 years.
