We are looking for a Research Fellow who will conduct original research as part of the Antidepressant Medications: Biology, Exposure & Response (AMBER) project focused on understanding the causal mechanisms of antidepressant exposure. The first two years of this post will be within the NLP team at DataLoch, (NHS Lothian and South East Safe Haven), with close links to Generation Scotland, developing NLP methodologies that support de-identification and clinical coding of primary and secondary electronic health records for the AMBER project. In year 3 & 4 the research fellow will develop methodologies using unstructured electronic health records to extract information about treatment and response to anti-depression medication.
This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The Opportunity:
As a research fellow you will conduct and facilitate original research as part of the AMBER project and as part of the DataLoch NLP team.
