The Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) is an Executive Agency of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and is responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and efficacy of veterinary medicines in the UK.
We have a vacancy for a Project Support Officer in our International Team
This fast-paced, varied role will sit centrally within the international office working within both the UK Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Reference Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and VMD Training Centre with an approximate 50:50 split, subject to demands of each programme of work.
The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate the organisation and delivery of training and international activities, in addition to maintaining the day-to-day functions of the international office.
This post would suit an individual who has project management experience, is adaptable to the day to day demands of delivering multiple projects in parallel, and may also have animal health and science background.
You must be able to/ have:
You must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 packages, particularly Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and Outlook, can navigate the internet and can learn to use the VMD’s bespoke IT systems
