This post is eligible for a one-off Recruitment and Retention Payment, which is 10% of basic salary, payable 12 months after start date.
Warsash Maritime School is the home of one of the world’s leading institutes offering maritime education, training, research and consultancy to the marine/maritime industry and within the School we are particularly proud of the heritage of our cadet education. We are proud of our modern training facilities including our maritime simulation centre, engineering workshops, and safety training centre.
As part of our continued growth and investment in the School we are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Marine Electrical and Electronic Engineering professional to join the expanding team within Cadet Education.
The successful candidate would preferably possess a minimum of a UK MCA STCW III/6 Electro-Technical Officer Certificate of Competency with sailing experience as a senior officer on merchant vessels. However, we welcome applications from professional from alternative career backgrounds. Teaching experience and qualifications would be an advantage but is not essential.
You will be required to deliver theoretical and practical teaching in a range of topics including Marine Electrical Systems, Electrical Control Systems, Radio Communication Systems, Navigation Systems and Work Based Learning Projects.
