Background

The Division of Health Services Research and Management (HSRM) brings together a multidisciplinary range of expertise to deliver excellence in teaching and research. The division's national and global research activities span public health, health psychology, health management, innovation and change, and food and health policy through a One Health lens.

Responsibilities

The postholder will make a significant contribution to the School’s educational activities, in line with the Education and Student Strategy, ensuring education is of high-quality, professionally relevant and informed by research, scholarship and pedagogy. The postholder will also develop / lead individual and collaborative research, including generating research income, in line with the University’s Research Strategy and contribute to the leadership of research activities to build the achievements and profile of the School and University.

Person Specification

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer in Research Methods who has academic, teaching and research experience in a health-related field and can lead, and develop, our current MSc provision. The postholder is expected to have an outstanding reputation in a health-related field and expertise in quantitative methodologies and systematic reviews, proven ability to deliver engaging in-person and online lectures and tutorials related to research methods, and experience of working in collaborative research projects. Appointment at Senior Lecturer level will require additional academic experience and achievement.
