Job Description
We are currently seeking a lecturer in Education/Developmental Psychology to join our dedicated, and committed team at Bath Spa University.
Key Responsibilities
You will help design and deliver teaching content across a range of modules at Levels 4 to 6 in Psychology Programmes, with a specific focus on leading our Education Psychology programme, as well as contributing to curriculum planning and development, and engaging in research or scholarly activity in Psychology. You will have the opportunity to develop new courses and help guide the focus of teaching and research in Educational/Developmental Psychology at Bath Spa University. You will also be engaging in relevant research and scholarly activity in support of the university’s research strategy, to inform and enhance curriculum design and to improve student experience. In addition, you will be supervising or mentoring colleagues with less experience and advising them on personal development.
Key Skills
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who will be able to teach Psychology, with a particular focus of Educational Psychology at all undergraduate levels, who has a BPS-accredited degree in Psychology and experience teaching or researching Educational Psychology. You will be keen to contribute to activities such as involvement with open days, public events and building appropriate links with business and the community, as well as being involved in moderation and other quality assurance processes. You will have excellent networking and communication skills, flexible and adaptable to change and be a committed team player.
