About the role:
A Post-doctoral research position is available in the laboratory of Professor Rob Bristow to investigate the role of the androgen receptor (AR) in determining radiation responses in prostate cancer. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the successful applicant will be responsible for developing tools to explore a functional AR pathway in cellular systems. Results from model systems can be compared and validated using in situ multi’omic readouts using special transcriptomics and proteomics.
About you:
You should have a PhD in molecular oncology or cell biology. Knowledge and basic skills in the field of prostate cancer biology is essential. Experience working in the field of prostate cancer and genomics along with analysing tumour samples ex vivo and in situ using multi’omic approaches is desirable but not essential.
