Senior Sport and Physical Activity Coordinator

About the school or department
This is an exciting opportunity to join the University’s Unisport team in a role that is focused on supporting students to be more physically active, more often alongside their studies. The university has a new Sport and Physical Wellbeing Strategy, and the successful candidate will play a key role in its delivery.
Unisport is part of the wider student services directorate and has already made great strides in terms of engaging a highly diverse and wide spread university community. It has developed “Move Your Way”, an inclusive programme of free physical activity for all students and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing “Move Your Way”, utilising best practice and embracing new and creative ways of embedding physical activity in the every day experience of our students.
About the role
The role will work with colleagues within the Unisport team, as well as a wide range of colleagues from other departments and our Students’ Union working together to actively encourage our students to support their own physical wellbeing as a key part of their university experience.
You will have experience in developing sport and physical activity programmes; working with coaches and volunteers, alongside an ability to positively working with a range of partners and stakeholders. You will be an excellent communicator, with strong organisational and administrative skills, with a sound knowledge of university sport and public health.
