This is an academic position with the primary role around clinical teaching and the caseload on which it is dependant. The successful applicant will provide and develop clinical services in anaesthesia and maintain and develop excellence in student experience in the Small Animal Teaching Hospital, University Veterinary practice and the equine Hospital (if applicable). You will be registered with the RCVS (or be eligible to become an MRCVS), and be able to provide evidence of significant experience of small animal anaesthesia management.
Applicants who already hold a Diploma (ECVAA or ACVAA) will be expected to act as a Senior Clinician who can run and maintain (and develop for level 9) a referral anaesthesia service and mentor / supervise ECVAA residents’ training. Additionally, you will foster excellent working relationships within the multi-disciplinary hospital team and with referring veterinary surgeons and their clients, as well as the wider community.
