The Art & Design Department is based at our Harrow Weald campus. We offer Entry Level 3 Gateway and Level 1 to 3 UAL full time courses, as well as pottery and ceramics hobby courses. The post of Section Manager in Art & Design is pivotal to the success and growth of the area.
You would provide leadership for a team of Lecturers and Technicians, manage study programmes, develop provision across the Section and teach across a range of programmes according to your specialism. You would also continue to increase and develop our links with employers, integral to successful student work placements and course enrichment.
You will need to possess a relevant degree or equivalent level professional qualification and a teaching qualification (PGCE/DET or equivalent), and have successful teaching experience of Art, preferably in Further Education, including some experience of leading/supervising others. You will also have some curriculum co-ordination and development experience, a good understanding of quality assurance and the ability to innovate within the curriculum and lead teaching and learning best practice.
This post can be filled as a part time post; however if you are seeking a full time post, this can be combined with a 0.5 FTE Lecturer - Art and Design post.
We can offer a part time (0.5 FTE) Lecturer post to the successful candidate if the postholder wishes to work on a full time basis. Salary for 0.5 FTE Lecturer role in the range of £14,722 - £20,530 per annum
