About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Services Coordinator to become an integral part of our dynamic Operations team at Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute.

As our Administrative Services Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our operations, helping ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the Institute. You will be responsible for organising the Institute Seminar Series: facilitating a continuous weekly programme of external speakers as well as providing support for other Institute internal seminars and events. Your duties will be varied, ranging from managing schedules and coordinating meetings to assisting with important projects. You will be the go-to person who keeps things on track. Your attention to detail and proactive mindset will make you an invaluable asset.

What you'll do:

  • Efficiently plan the seminar series, coordinating calendars, making travel arrangements, and setting up multimedia equipment.
  • Organise meetings and prepare necessary materials.
  • Assist in planning and facilitating Institute events.
  • Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
  • Manage communications throughout the Institute and with our partners.
  • Tackle ad hoc tasks and challenges with enthusiasm.
  • Provide a professional and proficient interface with internal and external colleagues.
  • Contribute to content creation for our website and social media platforms.

About you:

You should be educated to degree level (or equivalent) or have equivalent relevant work experience and have:

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal along with proof reading skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and calendar management tools.
  • A friendly and approachable demeanor even under pressure.
  • Problem-solving attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role is a plus, but not a must.
