About the Role
Working in an exciting and dynamic environment, the Lecturer will contribute to the intellectual life of the Institute and wider institution. They will make contributions to student education and experience through curriculum development and the delivery of teaching activities in the subject area of Dental Biomaterials.
About You
The postholder will have a PhD in Dental Biomaterials. They will be expected to teach on Dental Materials science underpinning the relevant materials clinical use, to BDS, BSc and postgraduate students, and supervise postgraduate projects. The appointee will interact with other departments throughout QMUL, and externally, to ensure the delivery of high-quality teaching and student experience. The postholder will be expected to be proactive, innovative and exercise a high degree of responsibilities in their teaching and supervision.

The Institute of Dentistry (IoD) is one of six within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (FMD), located primarily on our Whitechapel site. It comprises four academic centres and employs in excess of 170 staff (c77 FTE).

The post is based at the Mile End Campus. It is a full-time (35-hours-per-week), fixed term maternity cover appointment, with an expected start date as soon as possible. The starting salary will be Grade 5-6, in the range of £47,178 - £58,595 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
