The National Centre of Motorsport Engineering is looking to recruit an Electric Vehicle Technician/Demonstrator to join an enthusiastic and proactive team within the School.
Working closely with technical support in NCME Department, the role holder will be responsible for providing support for student learning, teaching and research across the portfolio of academic disciplines including support for students’ projects and self-directed study.
The role holder will be expected to work both independently, and as an effective member of a team which meets the needs of academic staff and students, and enables optimum use of University resources. The role includes support and demonstration of a range of equipment and vehicles, associated processes and first line maintenance.
Experience with Electric / Hybrid Vehicle systems, car builds and sub-assemblies, batteries, LV and HV wiring and electrical safety is highly desirable.
You should possess good interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to issue equipment, tools and materials, stock controls and maintain accurate records.
