The School wishes to appoint a highly motivated individual to join our enthusiastic and committed MBBS teaching team. The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Community Medicine participate in the delivery of both campus based and clinical teaching in primary care for medical students in the later years of the undergraduate curriculum and also to physician associate students.

The right candidate will have substantial recent experience of medical practice in UK primary care and experience of delivering medical education to undergraduate students. Full GMC registration with a license to practice will be essential to carry out the duties of this post since the postholder will expected to undertake clinical practice in a primary care setting, including participating in teaching clinics, to ensure access to patients and robust supervision for students in the school of medicine. The successful candidate will be supported to pursue a qualification in remote and rural medicine, mountain medicine or medical education during their tenure in the post.

The post will be based between Westlakes campus and a local clinical base although occasional travel to UCLan’s Burnley and Preston campuses may be required.
