We are looking for an experienced and proactive individual to manage all aspects of the Lothian Health Services Archive (LHSA) operation, including staffing and workplanning, service delivery, budgets and future planning, and to participate in its work. This position also contributes to reporting to the funder and stakeholders of LHSA (NHS Lothian) is responsible for service and team forward development. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a committed team working within the University’s Heritage Collections (archives, rare books, musical instruments and art collections). The successful candidate will have a track record of management within the cultural heritage sector and experience of health archives.
The Opportunity:
This role leads, manages and develops a dynamic and award-winning archive service. This is a key role which leads the delivery and strategic development of the LHSA service from operations and management to project development. The postholder is also a member of the Heritage Collections Senior Management Team, and takes part in strategic planning for the unit.
