Job summary

The Faculty of Natural Sciences (www.imperial.ac.uk/naturalsciences) carries out world-leading research in mathematics, physics, chemistry and the life sciences. The Faculty is seeking a proactive Research Grants Manager, to manage a portfolio of research project grants, ensuring high quality service is delivered to academic and administrative staff across the College.
The Faculty has responsibility for departmental administration and the provision of core support services to academic departments in financial management, human resources and research services.
Duties and responsibilities
The post holder will assist the Research Services Manager in leading a team of administrators in the delivery of an outstanding level of service to researchers in the Faculty of Natural Sciences. They will be responsible for the smooth management & administration of research grants and contracts awarded, to provide a cradle to grave service.
Essential requirements
Key to success will be the ability to lead and manage a multilevel team – the post holder must be a proven supervisor, operationally skilled with the ability to distribute activity effectively and form working relationships with staff at all levels in the organisation. You will be committed to the delivery of customer service and have a “can do” approach.
