About Us: Embark on a transformative journey at King’s College London, where we are committed to enhancing the student experience through innovation, flexibility, and enrichment. Our ambitious King’s Vision 2029 is already driving significant progress across systems, processes, and policies, but we are now poised for the essential next step: transforming our services to deliver a 21st-century student experience.
About the Role: As the Director of Academic Quality, you will lead a large and dynamic team responsible for providing expert support and guidance to the College on academic quality assurance, enhancement, and governance. Your pivotal role will ensure the College's academic regulations and policies align with external academic regulatory, quality, and legal standards, as set by entities such as OfS and PSRBs.
In addition to this you will collaborate closely with the Strategic Director, Education & Students, and a wide range of stakeholders across the College to develop and implement a refreshed quality assurance framework for all our programmes, taught research degrees, Online, Distance, Exec Education, partnerships etc. Concurrently, you will work towards a unified target operating model for Education Services.
Beyond implementation, your role will encompass ongoing management of academic policies, procedures, and processes, underpinned by evidence-based quality assurance. You will ensure effective communication and adherence to College procedures across faculties and departments, promoting a consistent approach.
Advocating quality assurance, continuous improvement, and best practices, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to champion academic quality. You will also create a service strategy to transform operational engagement across the College, fostering a seamless 'OneKings' approach for applicants and students.
We are seeking an individual who shares our values and aspirations, possesses both strategic and operational acumen, and excels in delivering support in a high-volume, complex, and fast-paced environment.
