Technical Services are a large and diverse team of highly skilled technicians who ensure the optimal functioning of specialist spaces to deliver an exceptional student experience. We work in specialist laboratories, workshops, studios, resource centres and IT facilities; and our technical professionals play a key role supporting, guiding and advising students across our university from sciences, art, design and technology, through to sports, ceramics, nursing and physiotherapy.
Manchester Metropolitan University is seeking a Technical Manager to join our Technical Services, Digital Arts team!
The team:
This role sits in the Digital Arts team, who provide specialist technical support and technical training to the Faculty of Art & Humanities and the School of the Digital Arts (SODA). The team manages and supports a wide range of specialist studio spaces and studios, whilst delivering an extensive technical skill taught provision to students. The team support a diverse range of programmes and subject areas including filmmaking, TV & radio, 2D and 3D animation, graphics, games art, virtual and augmented reality and immersive technology.
