Starting Salary for Senior Lecturer: £56,021 per annum.
Surrey Business School seeks to appoint either a Lecturer or a Senior Lecturer who is a specialist in Entrepreneurship and/or Innovation to join our Department of Digital Economy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation. This is a research and teaching post, and we are interested in individuals who want to lead research and teaching in related areas across the curricula of UG and PG programmes.
The Department has many internationally recognised academics working with businesses and delivering ground-breaking advancements in digital entrepreneurship and areas such as big data, digital platforms and digital business models.
Our staff publish in leading journals such as the Academy of Management journals, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Product Innovation Management, , and Supply Chain Management among others. DDEEI is led by Professor Glenn Parry and includes a healthy mix of research active faculty and practitioner teaching fellows. The team has grown strongly in recent years and have further appointments in the pipeline.
The successful candidate will be invited to join CoDE, the Centre of Digital Economy, the 35-member strong multi-disciplinary leading research centre closely affiliated with DDEEI, whose mission is to drive forward joint projects to leverage the opportunities created by the digital economy to enhance society and enrich human life. Applicants should have a developing research discourse in Entrepreneurship or Innovation that links to our department as well as to the CoDE areas of interest.
Commensurate with the position applied to, individuals must have a track record of publications in leading journals and a pipeline of papers going forward, contributed to developing the research agenda, participated in grant applications and cooperated with companies and other external stakeholders. In your teaching, you are expected to emphasise the quality of the student experience.
