Reflecting our commitment to delivering high-quality Initial Teacher Education (ITE) for over sixty years, the School of Teacher Education at Canterbury Christ Church University is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Secondary ITE to contribute to teaching, research and leadership in the Secondary age-phase.

The successful candidate will be a subject specialist in English, mathematics, or science (science applicants with a subject specialism in chemistry are especially welcome) and hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). You will be an enthusiastic and experienced education professional who is committed to delivering an outstanding student experience across courses in Secondary ITE. Demonstrating in-depth knowledge and understanding of the relevant National Curriculum and the ability to teach across Secondary age-phases, you will have a track record in enabling student teachers to realise their full potential.

The successful candidate will also be willing to travel to partner schools in support of our student teachers and their mentors in placement.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to research in the School of Teacher Education.

For the Senior Lecturer post it is expected the candidate will undertake a leadership role within the school as determined by the Head of Secondary ITE and the Head of School.
