Duties of the Role
The Performance Sport Physiotherapist will provide support to TASS athletes and sport scholarship students, including assessing, diagnosing and treating student athletes in the performance sport programme and WBBL, NBL and NVL teams. The role of the Performance Sport Physiotherapist will prescribe, develop and implement treatment plans for all injured players. Following return to play procedures.
The Performance Sport Physiotherapist will perform medical screenings for players and lead on player rehabilitation sessions. Assist the Strength and Conditioning Coach in designing and delivering appropriate rehabilitation sessions is an important part of the role. The role will ensure all medical and injury data is securely tracked and upload relevant performance monitoring data to TASS and online athlete monitoring platform.
Skills and qualifications required
The successful candidate will have a degree in Physiotherapy and have membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). You will also have FA pitch side First Aid qualification. You will have solid experience delivering physiotherapy within an elite sporting environment and experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates will have excellent organisational and time management skills.
