Kirklees College are looking for multiple CSWs to join the SEND Department within the Student Experience Directorate at Kirklees College. We have multiple positions working 18 hours per week over 38 weeks within the SEND Hearing Impairment Support team and you will be joining other dedicated professionals who will be able to provide exceptional student support.
The successful applicant will provide high quality support across the college, working with the SEND CO for HI to ensure appropriate plans and strategies are in place to support students from school transitions, into, through and out of college to a positive destination. The successful candidate will be able to provide interventions identified from available data, oversee the EHCP process including annual reviews and ensure students feel valued and well supported in appropriate ways for preparation for adulthood.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with young people with SEND in an educational capacity, have in-depth knowledge of EHCP’s, the SEND Code of Practice and support strategies, whilst also being able to use their own judgement and initiative in complex situations leading to successful outcomes.
The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C) also educated to minimum Level 3 HI qualification or already be working towards one and may already have a relevant HE Degree. Salary: £12,168.29 - £12,941.49 Pro Rata per annum
Please note term time only staff who start mid year will have their initial salary payments calculated based on actual weeks worked and the number of pay dates between the beginning of employment and the end of the academic year.
