About the Role
Applications are invited for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant to work on an EPSRC funded project (one year for the first instance and can be extended further for two more years) developing single-crystal perovskite optical and electronic devices. This project will be carried out in the research group of Dr Lei Su in the School of Engineering of Materials Science at Queen Mary University of London.
Candidates with a PhD degree in Materials, Engineering, Optoelectronics, and Physics are encouraged to apply. Previous experience with any of the following: perovskite materials synthesis and characterisation, solar cells fabrication and characterisation, other optoelectronic devices (e.g., LEDs, solar cells, thermoelectric generators), or nonlinear optics will be an advantage.
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
This post is within the School of Engineering and Materials Science, a large School with strong expertise in material science and engineering, relevant to this post. This is an exciting project building on the previous achievements of the group (e.g., see references 1-3 below). The aim of this project is to develop single-crystal optoelectronic devices and to characterise the performance of the fabricated devices in the lab, as well as to explore the applications.
